Oman Gas Company (OGC) is the Sultanate’s gas transportation company, delivering natural gas to key economic sectors and major consumers such as power and desalination plants, aluminum smelters, downstream metal, fertilizer & methanol plants, refineries, steel and cement factories, and oil companies. Since its inception in 2000, OGC has grown in stature and reputation into an integrated enterprise harnessing the power of Oman’s natural gas transportation. The company employs more than 490 people, of whom 90% are Omanis.

OGC was established in 2000 by Royal Decree No. 78/2000, granting concession rights to own, construct, maintain, and operate natural gas facilities in Oman. In 2013, OGC became a member of Oman Oil Group with 100% ownership by Oman Oil Company SAOC.


There was no single recruitment portal in Oman specifically for the Oil & Gas sector, and MOG did not have a clear picture of the needs for qualified personnel. Each operator posted vacancies on separate channels, with no centralized platform to monitor and manage job openings. To address this, KalSoft proposed a joint recruitment portal to consolidate all Omani oil and gas operators and applicants on one platform for easier access to job opportunities.


KalSoft successfully delivered the Ministry of Oil & Gas Oman’s Joint Recruitment Portal “PetroJobs”, enabling the consolidation of oil and gas operators and applicants on one platform. The solution provided MOG with a framework to create a comprehensive database of qualified personnel and to collaborate with educational institutions to ensure the right candidate for each job. Implemented using SharePoint 2013 as a web content management system, and complemented by Android and iOS mobile apps, the portal offers an integrated recruitment experience.
